Norm Janssen is an agribusiness strategist and business development advisor with more than 30 years of experience connecting companies, capital, and markets across the global agriculture and food system. He specializes in helping organizations define and execute growth strategies by building the right partnerships—linking innovative companies with compatible customers, investors, and strategic collaborators. Norm brings a deep understanding of agriculture, agronomy, and international trade, combined with an extensive global network developed over decades of industry leadership.

Norm is the President of Janssen Connex and has held senior business development and investment attraction roles across both the public and private sectors. Most notably, he spent nearly 17 years with Alberta Agriculture and Forestry as Investment Attraction Manager, where he supported domestic and international companies investing in Alberta’s food, ag-tech, and value-added industries, with a particular focus on Europe and the Middle East. His career also includes roles in ag-tech commercialization, controlled-environment agriculture, and animal health, as well as early leadership positions with Saskatchewan Agriculture and Dow Elanco. Norm is an International Nuffield Scholar and is recognized for his ability to translate opportunity into practical, growth-oriented outcomes for agriculture businesses.
