Derick Jiwan is a strategic operator and commercialization leader with experience across agricultural inputs, AgTech, food systems and venture capital. He has worked across both specialty and row crops, helping organizations translate complex science and field data into clear market positioning, technical marketing, sales enablement and go-to-market strategies.

Derick’s background includes innovation and business development leadership at WinField United, senior roles with Hazel Technologies and co-founding Phytelligence, a plant biotechnology company. He also advises emerging agri-food ventures, investors and founders on commercialization, growth strategy, fundraising, diligence and exit readiness. His work helps companies build scalable operating models, establish repeatable processes and reduce founder dependence as they prepare for growth, acquisition or sale.

Derick holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Plant Sciences from Washington State University and brings a valuable combination of scientific depth, commercial judgment and hands-on operating experience.
